Heartsaver courses are designed for lay-rescuers who need a certificate.
The course offerings include:
- CPR/AED
- First Aid
Courses are offered in various combinations for Adults, Children, and Infants.
As an example, if you are interested in Infant CPR you would take the Adult CPR AED with Infant CPR course offering.
Students will practice with the video during class and must pass a series of skills testing during the class. The Heartsaver First Aid course has a series of short written questions that students will review during the course.
Some students are required (by their employer, for example) to take a formal written test. As a result, the AHA has created an optional written test for those students who require this level of certification.
